Acta Scientiarum: Human and Social Sciences. Journal of Philosophy and Social Sciences has been published by the Press of the State University of Maringá since 1998 in the current series.

In the 2017-2020 four-year period, the journal was classified with the A2 index in Qualis-Periódicos/CAPES.


Focus and Scope

The journal publishes original articles in all relevant areas of Philosophy and social sciences, addressing both traditional and emerging themes, as well as articles located at the interface with other areas of knowledge.

Mission

To enable the public registration of knowledge and its preservation; To publish research results involving ideas and new scientific proposals; To disseminate information and knowledge generated by the scientific community; To streamline the process of scientific communication in the area of ​​Philosophy and Social Sciences.

Peer Review Process

Articles will be reviewed by two consultants in the field of research knowledge, from national and foreign educational and/or research institutions, with proven scientific production. After the necessary corrections and possible suggestions, the article will be accepted for publication if it has two favorable opinions and will be rejected if two opinions are unfavorable. In the case of one favorable and one unfavorable opinion, the decision on whether or not to publish the article will be made by the Editorial Board.
