Evandro Luís Gomes

Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy from the State University of Maringá - UEM. He holds a degree in Philosophy from Claretian College of Batatais (1997), a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo - USP (2002) and a PhD in Philosophy from the State University of Campinas - Unicamp (2013). He held a Post-Doctoral Internship (2018-2020) as Visiting Researcher at the Center for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science (CLE) at Unicamp, being an elected member of CLE since 2020. He has worked in Basic Education (Elementary, Secondary, and Vocational Education) and Higher Education in several educational institutions and establishments. His research concentrates on the history and philosophy of Logic, with an emphasis on the historical research of logical methods, theories and systems, both classical and non-classical. He mainly investigates the history of paraconsistent logics and their gradual establishment in the Western tradition. He also researches the history of Logic in Brazil since the colonial era.
