Self-assessment policy

The PGF-UEM self-assessment policy is defined in the PGF Regulations as follows:

Article 16 – The PGF-UEM self-assessment policies must capture aspects relevant to its mission and objectives, including those related to its social, economic and cultural inclusion at the local, regional, national and international levels.

1st – The PGF-UEM self-assessment policies will be governed by Resolution No. 038/2019-CEP-UEM, by this Regulation, by the regulations in force at CAPES, or by others that may replace them.

2nd – The self-assessment is a dynamic, evaluative process, conceptualized and self-managed by the academic community, with the main objective of assessing the state of the PGF-UEM's research and teaching production and proposing actions to improve all of its activities, in order to achieve the expected results. 3rd – The Academic Council will establish a Self-Assessment Committee, composed of 4 members from among the permanent faculty members of the PGF, one student representative from among the Master's or Doctorate students, and one administrative technician, with a 2-year term, with reappointments permitted.
4th – The Self-Assessment Committee may include, at the discretion of its members and with the approval of the Academic Council, a member from outside UEM as an ad hoc consultant, for the purpose of producing its reports.
5th – The Self-Assessment Committee must meet at least once per academic semester.

Article 17th – The responsibilities of the Self-Assessment Committee are:

I – To collect, prepare and analyze data related to all research and teaching activities of the PGF-UEM faculty members and students, based on data entered into the Sucupira Platform, Lattes Curriculum, and through specific forms completed by the faculty members and students of the Program;

II – Produce regular reports on the state of the PGF’s academic production in accordance with the Philosophy Area Document and other documents relevant to the Evaluation of Postgraduate Programs in the country;

III – Evaluate the program’s strategic planning in relation to UEM’s Institutional Development Plan with a view to its future development;

IV – Evaluate and propose policies for internationalization, social and regional inclusion, affirmative actions, visibility and training for the Program;

V – Monitor PGF-UEM graduates;

VI – Propose the implementation of actions that address the aspects identified in the self-evaluation process that require corrections and improvements.
