A TEORIA CRÍTICA DE HERBERT MARCUSE E O ENGAJAMENTO: OS PERCALÇOS NA ARTICULAÇÃO ENTRE TEORIA E PRÁTICA

A presente pesquisa tem o objetivo de analisar a perspectiva específica de engajamento que nasce da teoria crítica de Herbert Marcuse. O filósofo desenvolve uma concepção de dialética e de revolução, partindo de um viés marxista, com desdobramentos teóricos importantes sobre os caminhos emancipatórios para a transformação social. A emancipação, em sua imbricada relação com o conhecimento, foi configurada por Marx de uma maneira superadora em relação ao programa moderno do iluminismo, originando um sentido particular de crítica pautada na noção de práxis. Esta perspectiva é fulcral para a elaboração deste trabalho na medida em que nos orienta para uma nova compreensão de teoria que se vincula ao engajamento. Dentro deste trilho, o pensamento de Marcuse tem sua contribuição justificada ao pautar o estreito laço entre filosofia e política, teoria e prática, auxiliando-nos na difícil compreensão da dialética presente na categoria de práxis. Dessa forma, o exame da questão do engajamento em Marcuse nos permite avaliar dois aspectos principais. Primeiramente, sua interpretação específica de Marx, permitindo-nosmelhor situar seu pensamento tanto na tradição marxista, como na história da filosofia. O outro aspecto é que o percurso de análise aqui traçado - ao caracterizar traços fundamentais sobre a relação entre engajamento e história por um ponto de vista marxista -, abre espaço para um enfoque particular acerca da teoria crítica de Marcuse, permitindo um balanço crítico de sua teoria no que tange aos desdobramentos práticos que surgem de sua reflexão crítica específica.

This current research aims to analyze the specific perspective of engagement born  from  the  critical  theory  of  Herbert  Marcuse.  The  philosopher  develops  a conception of dialectic and revolution, from a Marxist view, with important theoretical developments on the emancipation paths towards social transformation. The emancipation,  in  their  intertwined  relationship  with  knowledge,  was  configured  by Marx which a surpassing way compared to modern program of the Enlightenment, giving a particular sense of criticism guided by the notion of praxis. This perspective is central to the development of this work in that it guides us to a new understanding of theory that links to the engagement. Within this track, the thinking of Marcuse has its contribution justified to abide the close link between philosophy and politics, theory and practice, helping us in the difficult understanding of dialectic present in the category of praxis. Thus, examining the issue of engagement in Marcuse allows us to evaluate two main aspects. First, your particular interpretation of Marx, allowing us to better situate your thinking as in the Marxist tradition as in the history of philosophy. The other aspect is that the route of analysis outlined here - to characterize key features of the relationship between engagement and history for a Marxist point of view - makes room for a particular focus approach about Marcuse's critical theory, allowing a critical assessment of your theory regarding the practical consequences that arise from your specific critical reflection.
