CONVENÇÃO E ALIENAÇÃO NO PROCESSO DE LEGITIMAÇÃO POLÍTICA NO PENSAMENTO DE ROUSSEAU

| Resumo: | Esta pesquisa analisa o tema do estado de natureza e suas influências no processo de formação da sociedade civil no pensamento político de Jean-Jacques Rousseau, tendo como base as obras Discurso sobre a origem e os fundamentos da desigualdade entre os homens [1755]/(1988) e Do Contrato Social [1762]/(1987). Com foco nos conceitos de liberdade e alienação, o estudo tenta compreender o que liga a desigualdade de natureza (inégalité naturelle) com as convenções que tornam possíveis as diversas formas de desigualdade moral ou política (inégalité morale ou politique). A partir da metodologia de revisão bibliográfica, primeiro buscou-se em Rousseau e nos interlocutores com os quais dialogou em seus textos, desde Jean Jacques Burlamaqui e Samuel Pufendorf, sobre o problema do Direito, Thomas Hobbes e John Locke, sobre a teoria contratualista, os fundamentos e desdobramentos da legitimação política, e posteriormente, abordamos o tema com uma leitura da interpretação de seus comentadores e críticos contemporâneos, além da interpretação dos conceitos de alienação e ideologia à luz da teoria de Marx. Os caminhos apontados pelos textos de Rousseau e comentadores indicam ao menos duas possibilidades: o ato livre de alienar-se como fundamento do corpo social e da validade da vontade geral, o que sugere a autonomia do indivíduo na criação da sociedade civil; ou a alienação como ferramenta que possibilita a diluição do indivíduo no corpo social e legitima a convenção da vontade de alguns como vontade geral. Em nenhum dos casos, contudo, o autor indica que os indivíduos tenham obtido êxito em anular as condições mesmas que caracterizam e intensificam a desigualdade. |

| ABSTRACT | This research analyzes the theme of the state of nature and its influences on the process of formation of civil society in the political thought of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, based on the works Discourse on the Origin and Foundations of Inequality Among Men [1755]/( 1988) and The Social Contract [1762]/(1987). Focusing on the concepts of freedom and alienation, the study aims to understand what connects the inequality of nature (inégalité naturelle) with the conventions that make different forms of moral or political inequality possible (inégalité morale or politique). Using the bibliographical review methodology, we first looked at Rousseau and the interlocutors with whom he dialogs in his texts, from Jean-Jacques Burlamaqui and Samuel Pufendorf, on the problem of Law, to Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, on contractual theory. , the foundations and developments of political legitimation, and subsequently, we approach the topic with a reading of the interpretation of its contemporary commentators and critics, furthermore, to the interpretation of the concepts of alienation and ideology in the light of Marx's theory. The paths showned out by Rousseau's texts and commentators indicate at least two possibilities: the free act of alienating oneself as the foundation of the social body and the validity of the general will, which suggests the autonomy of the individual in the creation of civil society; or alienation as a tool that enables the dilution of the individual in the social body and legitimizes the convention of the will of a few as the general will. In none of the cases, however, does the author indicate that individuals have been successful to cease the very conditions that characterize and intensify inequality. |
