Resumo:

Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal dissertar acerca de como relações meta físicas específicas podem explicar o modo como o espaço-tempo e as coisas espaço temporais se relacionam. Trataremos como o espaço-tempo, de acordo com as noções que se tem dele a partir do desenvolvimento das teorias da relatividade restrita e geral, pode ser visto como um ente mais fundamental que corpos físicos fundando-os tanto ontologicamente quanto explicativamente. Para realização dessa tarefa expositiva, será apresentada a noção de espaço-tempo no contexto
da teoria da relatividade, tendo em vista alguns aspectos da Filosofia natural da Modernidade, da Filosofia da ciência e filosofia da física. Posteriormente, é tratada a noção de metafísica em si, evidenciando a disputa que se tem pela sua definição e quais devem ser suas principais tarefas e métodos. Ao fim, são tratadas as defiições das relações metafísicas de fundação e dependência ontológica, a tese da substancialidade do espaço-tempo, concluindo com a apresentação da ideia de que o espaço tempo ocupa a posição mais fundamental e primeira na hierarquia de mundo de modo que todo o resto do mundo físico é fundado/dependente em sua existência e natureza.

ABSTRACT This work has as its main subject to expose how specific metaphysical relation scan explain the way spacetime and the spatiotemporal things relates one to another. We’re going to discuss how spacetime, according with the notions the we have of it since the development of the special and general theory of relativity, can be regarded as more fundamental entity than physical bodies grounding them both in their existence and nature. In order to achieve this exposition task the notion of spacetime will be presented by the context of the theory of relativity, taking in to account some aspects of the natural philosophy of the modernity, philosophy of science and philosophy of physics. Then, the notion of metaphysics itself is going to be introduced considering the debate over its definition together with what it would be its best tasks and methods. Lastly we are going to reach the grounding andontological dependence relations, the thesis of substantiality of spacetime and conclude introducing the idea that spacetime holds the most fundamental and bottom position in the world’s hierarchy, hence that all the rest of the physical world is grounded/dependent for its existence and nature.
